Upcoming SEND Law Webinar: Expert Insights from Eleanor Dyde

Our first webinar on PDA Parenting went live this week and it was completely sold out!

It was such a pleasure to be connecting with so many new people and to have the opportunity to share information on PDA. During the session we gave our viewers a brief overview of the PDA profile, followed by ways to adapt our understanding on what support needs might look like for PDA families. We gave tips and advice on ways to help parents, carers and educators understand PDA from lived experience and strategies that have proved successful so far. We finished with a Q & A which gave our attendees an opportunity to ask questions and to solidify their knowledge on the webinar.

A huge thank you goes out to fellow PDA bloggers Steph Curtis (Steph’s Two Girls) and Rebecca Husyein (A Boy Less Ordinary) who joined me on the night and gave lots of useful information in the chat. I would highly recommend checking out both of their pages for news and information that you might find useful on PDA and being a SEND parent carer.

The reviews from the PDA Parenting webinar have come in and they are extremely positive. I really do hope that those who attended found it useful and that it was helpful to be sent the recording afterwards to assist anyone who had difficulties joining live at the time.

Thank you so much the webinar – it provided excellent insight and overview into PDA and it was very relatable.

We received many messages to see if the recording would be available to purchase afterwards so we have decided to schedule a repeat of the webinar soon. The date hasn’t gone live yet so please do register your interest by subscribing to our blog and you will be the first to hear (link to subscribe is here). We will hold 99 tickets again but we do have to say that the last set went very fast so please don’t miss out on the opportunity to join us again.

In the mean time I can let you know a bit about our next webinar that is scheduled for next month which will be an informative session on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) law.

Our expert speaker, Eleanor Dyde, will cover essential topics to help you navigate the legal aspects of supporting individuals with SEND. Whether you’re a parent, educator, or advocate, this webinar is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of SEND legislation.

Eleanor is an advocate and SEND teacher/tutor who works independently at Dyde Tutoring and Advocacy. She has a wealth of knowledge and information – in fact not only is she a wonderful friend and peer in the community – but she is also my ‘go to’ person who I have aptly named the encyclopedia!

I am always blown away by Eleanor’s passion and enthusiasm at helping families thrive, particularly her desire to always put every child at the centre of what she does. She has a big heart as much as she does have knowledge and she is someone that I would always recommend others to contact when it comes to support for tutoring and advocacy. Her knowledge on PDA also is second to none! By joining this session she will be able to advise attendees on her own work and the services she also has available.

We will follow the live session with thirty minutes for Q & A which will give everyone the opportunity to ask Eleanor any questions and to pick her brain on all things SEND.

Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity to enhance your knowledge and ask questions directly to our knowledgeable expert Eleanor. This session will contain completely different information to the PDA Parenting webinar but it will work hand in hand to deepen your SEND knowledge with an introductory session on the basics of SEND law.

THIS RECORDING HAS ALREADY TAKEN PLACE, BUT YOU CAN PURCHASE IT FROM OUR STORE BELOW:
