Flash Sale – Black Rainbow

Hi everyone and how is September going for you?

I hope the back to school stress has started to ease for some of our community and that the autumn term is treating you all well (or as best it can be).

It’s been a busy month so far which kicked off by joining forces with Libby Hill at Small Talk Speech Therapy to record a podcast on PDA. Libby has a wealth of knowledge and experience of working with complex children and autism – I always learn something new from her and would highly recommend giving her work a follow.

Whist chatting to Libby, I also got the chance to discuss my debut novel Black Rainbow. For anyone who would like to catch up and listen to that recording then here is the link.

Following on from the podcast I made a new connection with Kelly over at Selective Mutism H.E.L.P and we recorded a webinar together for their online summit (details for that will be released soon).

Next up, I journeyed to the Act For Autism conference in Coventry where I was able to meet some wonderful people – including new parents, carers and professionals who I had not met before. Act For Autism are passionate about supporting and empowering people involved in the autistic community and I completely loved meeting Jane and Tessa – the two founders behind the enterprise. There are two more conferences coming up in Nuneaton and Leamington Spa so definitely worth checking out their website for more information.

But there is some exciting news to share and that’s about the flash sale which is happening today…

For 24 hours only, my book Black Rainbow is available on Amazon Kindle for just 99p!

This book has helped countless families understand PDA from their child’s perspective and I hope that it can continue to do the rounds so that it can impact those who are directly working with PDA learners.

Whether you’re a parent or a professional, this book will give you new insights into navigating the challenges of PDA as it’s presented in a fictional story but is actually the day to day stuff we can’t always explain to people.

The offer is only live for 24hours so please don’t miss out on the chance of grabbing a copy whilst it’s at this price – click here to get your copy!

Last but not least, we have our first webinar coming up (Wednesday 25th of September at 7pm GMT) where we will discuss Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and how it is an autistic profile which is rarely known or understood.

We will talk about how it feels to experience the world through a PDA lens and how it is worth reframing our understanding so that we can better support the needs of the individual.

This is going to cover some strategies that we hope that you might find useful and will be aimed at parents, carers, friends, families and professionals.

It is being kept at a reduced cost of £10 per ticket and a recording can be sent afterwords for those who are unable to watch the webinar live.

For more information on that here is the link to Eventbrite.

Much love,

Danielle
