BAPS Nominations 2019

๐ŸŒŸItโ€™s finally here… the BAPS nominations are now open for 2019!๐ŸŒŸ

So what are the BAPS?

They stand for Bloody Awesome Parents (great title ๐Ÿ˜‰) and are awards that recognise writing about SEND. They also aim to highlight those who are making a difference and it is also a place where campaigning about improving the lives for those with SEND is celebrated too.

Last year I got to the finals and it was an amazing experience – being in a room full of so many heartbreaking stories but writers who carry on regardless, striving for change and understanding.

I also got to stand next to Gethin Jones in a picture (where my hand *accidentally* managed to touch his very nice buttocks) – now who wouldnโ€™t want to do that again?!

For anyone who wants to read about the last event, the link can be found here:

It would be great to get PDA talked about once again and there are some great blogs out there which I know I will be nominating – a fairly recent list can be found here by Notes on PDA.

Although there are plenty of other writers who I will be nominating too that write about other disabilities and with whom I share links to regularly to on my Facebook page and my account on Twitter.

This year, there is also a category for a Bloody Awesome Parent, but for someone who is not a blogger. It could be someone who runs a support group or makes a difference to your life – there are way too many people I want to put in that category!

If anyone does want to nominate this blog then I would be most grateful – although Iโ€™ll understand if not as I feel lucky to have been a finalist twice this year already (without the support received by all of you then that wouldnโ€™t have been possible ๐Ÿ˜).

For those who may wish to nominate then my email address is daniellejatahall@yahoo.co.uk is probably the only info you need to do it.

To enter nominations for any of the categories here is a quick link to the form.

I wish all of the other writers I know, who I have met in person or maybe online, lots of luck ahead too.

Anyone who gets through will be a celebration in my eyes ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅ‚
