She doesn’t have it all. She doesn’t even want it all. SHE WANTS TO BE HEARD.
Sarah is married with two children, lives in a suburban house and is an educated woman – on the surface she SHOULD have it all but…
She is seriously struggling and so is her young, misunderstood daughter. Sarah is constantly trying to conform to fit in, her parenting skills are judged and her voice is quashed.
As her own family becomes frustrated and it feels like they can’t support her, Sarah worries that she may lose her two best friends too – after all, how many times can she cancel their plans?!
When a chance meeting with a stranger has a profound impact upon her, will Sarah be able to find her voice before it’s too late? Will her friends be able to inject some laughter back into her life? And, more importantly, can she find a way to have her daughter be better understood and accepted?

“The narrative is deeply engaging.” Sally Cat – PDA author, artist and animator
‘I loved reading the book. It gave me the same feeling I get when I meet a child or young person with PDA. Danielle writes so beautifully to help people understand what it’s really like to be a PDA parent. They tell you parenting is hard but boy oh boy it’s nothing like this normally! I think a lot of people will feel validated by the book. When you realise you’re not alone, that’s powerful!’ Libby Hill – Small Talk Speech and Language Therapy

This is a novel that we think is like no other! It tells a story about a family that many of us know very well but we don’t often see represented in mainstream fiction or media. You could say it is our chance for the PDA PARENTING community to take control of the narrative, once and for all, so we can shed light on the realities we all face. Perhaps we could be starting a new genre for PDA adult fiction – how great would that be!?
We have two formats of the book available at this stage and eventually we would like to create an audio book too – but we have to focus on building funds for that first. Black Rainbow is currently available in paperback or as an eBook:
For the Kindle version of the book on Amazon then please click this link here.*
If you prefer paperback this is available WORLDWIDE on Amazon by clicking here.
We do have the books available to purchase on Shopify too and here is the link.
As you can see from above the reviews have been trickling in from our team of professionals who took the time to read it before publication date, as well as the reviews that have been incoming from those of you who purchased an early copy from our pre-orders.
We can’t thank you ENOUGH!!!
So many of you also turned up to our book launch this weekend and it was such a wonderful event celebrating all things PDA with like minded people. We will keep you informed of any future events before they happen and stay tuned to our social media where we will show snippets from the event.
In the mean time we have the biggest favour to ask…
If we can ask you to share this information it would really help to get the book out there as it would make our dream come true!
Our biggest tool of getting this book noticed is by leaving a review for us under the book on Amazon and it may just help to share the word. You can do this as verified if you’ve bought through them or unverified if you bought from us directly and if we have gifted you a copy.
I will leave you on a quote from one of our launch team below …
