This is a novel that we think is like no other! It tells a story about a family that many of us know very well but we don’t often see represented in mainstream fiction or media.
It is our chance for the PDA PARENTING community to take control of the narrative, once and for all, so we can shed light on the realities we all face.

Sarah is married with two children, lives in a suburban house and is an educated woman - on the surface she SHOULD have it all but...
She is seriously struggling and so is her young, misunderstood daughter. Sarah is constantly trying to conform to fit in, her parenting skills are judged and her voice is quashed.
As her own family becomes frustrated and it feels like they can't support her, Sarah worries that she may lose her two best friends too - after all, how many times can she cancel their plans?!
When a chance meeting with a stranger has a profound impact upon her, will Sarah be able to find her voice before it's too late? Will her friends be able to inject some laughter back into her life? And, more importantly, can she find a way to have her daughter be better understood and accepted?

Black Rainbow – Book Launch
And to celebrate the book’s publication we are inviting all of of our parents, professionals and families to our physical book launch here in Hemel Hempstead!
We will be holding a very informal event at Ye Olde Red Lion (London Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 9TD) where families are welcome to join us at the event.
The pub has a very large garden with play equipment, benches, a covered area and a large car park. It is in walking distance from Apsley Train Station (with links to London and neighbouring counties). I will do a combination of a book signing and hopefully be accompanied by some speakers or a Q&A set up.
We aim to have cake and if the weather is permitting there is a chance the pub will put up a bouncy castle for us.
Most importantly this is an event that we hope you can be free to move around at and be able to come and leave as you please.
